Simply fondue?

has anyone ever gone to simply fondue or the melting pot?? are they good?

Been to both and they are both way over priced for the quality and quantity of food you receive.  Both my wife and I like fondue, so we went and bought our own fondue pots and make it at home.  So much better and we were able to buy 3 fondue pots for less than the price of a meal at one of these overpriced establishments.

I have been to the Melting Pot a couple of times; probably will not go back.  In my opinion the food is fairly good, but way overpriced.

The Melting Pot is one of my favorite restaurants, but there are a couple of things you need to understand before you go there. It is expensive. I would expect to spend $40-50 per person on just the food, not including beverages, alcohol and tip. It's more fun with more people. This gives you a chance to try different fondues, cheeses, cooking methods, and chocolates. Expect to be there for a couple of hours. It's more about the experience then the food. I go when I want to enjoy good food and a great evening with friends or a special occasion. It's definitely not a place I would go once a week or even once a month.
