Sims 2: Apartment Life Runtime Error R6034? Help!?

Ok, we just got Sims 2 Apartment life and when we go to play it, this message pops up

"runtime error microsoft visual C++ runtime library R6034"

We've uninstalled and then reinstalled twice and STILL it pops up!? What can I do to fix this problem? And are anyone else getting this error with this game?

I had that with my sims when I added an expansion it just like couldnt handle more than one expansion pack. I have no clue how to help you but now i use sims for my mac and havent had a problem yet.
