Sims 2 Deluxe won't start!

Question

I'll start up the game and everything is fine, and then it goes to the loading screen and always stops at Replacing Wheel Bearings or whatever. It says stuck on that, with the background music still playing and everything, and I've kept it on for like an hour before and nothing happens, I have to hold down my power button and restart my laptop.

Is the sims 2 deluxe compatiable with the windows you are running on your laptop?

If you have vista, you have to be careful on what games you buy. Some sims 2 games do not work with vista, and can crash your computer.

Try uninstalling the program, and reinstalling it. If that does not work, and the game is new, take it back to the store for an exchange.
