Sims 2 Double Deluxe Help?

Question

I just got Sims 2 Double Deluxe and i have a few questions about it.

First of all how do you place a lot in Downtown i had just finished making a lot and I wanted to put it downtown so I put it in the lot bin and tried to place it by all the other houses downtown but it wouldn't let me it was in the right place and was facing the right way but it just wouldn't let me put it there

Next If I get married to a Sim how does she move in with me

That's All I hope you can help

As for the lot issue, There are a few reasons that i can think of that it won't let you place a lot down. Sometimes there are "hidden items" in the way. So it may look like it's an empty space for your lot to be put, but really it's not. Things such as farming feilds, terrain patches, or the planes and stuff in the sky take up invisible space in the neighbourhood. So go into the build mode in your neighbourhood view, and try all the different tabs and see if there's a little blue box that shows up in your empty lot. If there is, then just delete it.

If that doesn't do the trick, sometimes you need a lot of space inbetween trees or visible items in the neighbourhood to place a lot. so maybe try deleting some of those if they're in the way.

The last thing that I can think of is that it could be that the area has too many hills, in which case you can't really do anything about.

As for your other question, If you want another sim to move in, you can either have a good enough relationship that there should be a "propose" option, and then a "move in" option. Or if you wait to get married, she should move in automatically after they actually get married.
