Sims 2 Game not Working!?

Question

I have sims 2 double deluxe I say I have had for about 2 months. today i just bought sims 2 pets and sims 2 freetime expasion packs. I first downloaded pets and everything working fine then i downloaded freetime now none of my games will work here is what happens when I click the icon or put in the disk it runs to the little video which shows the sims the when it brings up the loading page that says your game and loads so you can play it, it dosn't load it just freezes I have uninstalled free time still the same thing! HELP we have windows vista

Did you download the patches? The problem with FreeTime seems to be a frequent one. You definitely need the patches (both the Pets and FreeTime patch). You can get them at: http://thesims2.ea.com/update/?pid=Help_...

One suggestion is to remove your downloads folder and try again. You may need to uninstall FreeTime again, including going into the Program Files and deleting any file related to FreeTime.

I don't have FreeTime, so my experience with this is limited to what I've read on the various Sims 2 websites. I would suggest going to MTS2 and looking for a solution there. MTS2: http://www.modthesims2.com
