Sims 2 PC cheat code doesn't work.

Question

have a Vista Laptop and I installed the sims 2 on it with no problem (after installing sp1 for Vista first). The game runs fine, but when I try to enter a cheat code it wont work. I can't get the cheat code box to open at all. I push cntrl shift c but nothing happens. I have tried repeatedly and it just wont work. I tried changing the compatibility mode and it still wont work. I have tried the reverse shift cntrl c as some one suggested but that didn't work either. Any ideas?

I had the same problem. New laptop with Vista. The cheat box will open, though. Use Shift, Ctrl, Windows, C. It works every time.
