Sims 2 Pc Lots And Houses Help ?

Question

Ok so i know how to get new lots and houses into the game but when i click on them sims crashes. Does anyone know why this is and how i can stop it? Thanks in advance :]

have you been downloading things off the internet to add to your game? if so, you might of gotten a bug and need a patch to fix it. you can go to where you downloaded your stuff from and look for a patch to download that specifies the crashing part of the game to fix it.

i remember when i got things online like specialty things and it messed up my game. it kept crashing once i opened my town. so i got rid of ALL my stuff and then went back and dug thru them all. so maybe  u had the same problem?

i have got all the sims and i have loads of 'other' items in that work all i can think ov is tht the file is a bit dogey. all mine i got from the sims website which i know work :)

that happened to me before

does your house take up too much graphic memory?

is it all of your houses/lots? do the premade (the ones that came with the game) houses work?

it might be that you have downloaded too much stuff which made the sims2 crash
