Sims 2 adoption help?

ok my family wanted to adopt when the social worker came it didn't ask me if a wanted a baby, child, or toddler. I wanted a baby but I ended up getting a child which I did not want. Why did this happen??

hi.

i have to admit, i am a bit of a sims junkie.  but, with that being said, i think your question would be better answered on the video games board of yahoo.  this board deals with actual human adoption, and might be misunderstood by some who are unfamiliar with the game.

Hmmmm are you sure a window didn’t pop up , maybe you missed it. The box only stays up for so long and I think if you don’t choose you get a child. It could have been a glitch. If it happens again just exit with out saving.

Since you are referring to a game, rather than real life, you may want to try posting your question again in a different category.  I'm sorry that I don't have experience with the computer game but I can answer any questions you have on real life adoption.  Good luck with getting your game to work.  : )

I love Sims 2 and play it all the time.  I've not had that happen as of yet .. not really sure what to tell you.  I have had the kids taken away by the Social Worker many times.  Every once in a while I have a kid sit in a chair and then for some reason they get "stuck" ... when they are stuck in the chair they can't go to school or eat or go to the bathroom and then the Social Worker comes!  It's so frustrating!  And, it doesn't happen all the time ... just every once in a while ... so I think it's some sort of glitch.  If this continues to happen to you when you try to adopt...you may try to call EA Games and explain the problem .. maybe they can help you.  (I haven't taken my own advice on my game yet though!)
