Sims 2 cars and people??

Question

I downloaded a car for sims 2 and put it in the dowloads folder in documents/ea games/ sims 2/downloads and was wondering how to get it on sims 2. also how can i put 2 people that i downloaded on sims 2 and play with them??

The names of the people are melissa hurst and hannah ashworth.

if the file is a sims2 file all you need to do is double click but if you have to but them in the downloads folder then there in the right place

when you start the game up a screen will pop up listing your custom content ensure that under it the box with custom content in is enabled if its not click on enabled then close down the game and restart it

hopefully it should be there
