Sims 2 cheat problem?

I've used the "Set to birthday" cheat successfully, but I am having problems with it now. Does it require the sims aspiration level to be gold or something? When I tell the sim to "Grow up" they just... don't seem to want to.

well if you do it durin the morning or b4 6 pm..they prolly wnt grow until 6 pm..thta happens to me a lot...make sure there not busy and if yoiu want..shift click the persona nd find aspiration..click more and find maximum...its turn the meter to the highest level...and make them grow up..
