Sims 2 cheats......?

Is there a cheat if you have the Sims 2, so that you can have a dog or a cat. I dont have the sims 2 pets, but is there a cheat to get a free pet?

I don't like the sims games but you could always go to a cheat code website such as cheatplanet.com or go to your local video game store and buy a cheat codes book that has not only pc games but if you have any other games you need help on for any other system that would be useful as well.

You need to get the expansion pack, no cheats whatsoever for that.

when you type in a cheat,

Type "help" and it shows a list of all the cheats in the sims 2
