Sims 2 downloads & windows vista?

Question

Okay, so i got a new dell last month and It has vista I installed my sims games(sims2,seasons,bon voyage,pets) But when I go and download anything from tsr or the sims 2 website & install them they arent in the game. The only downloads I can get to play are lots. Before I had a hp laptop with windows xp & every download worked fine, so im guessing its because of vista. Does anyone else know why the downloads dont work. They are all in the downloads game folder & i have installed them.

omg you don't know when you install a game on vista you have to run as xp pack 2 and install a patch: http://thesims2.ea.com/update/index.php patches are usually under support, help or even patches good luck!!
