Sims 2 for PC is running but keeps loading...?

Question

ok so I will load a lot and it will keeeeeppp loading like its gonna load but wont. Then i go to task manager and it says its running but idk wats wrong :[

do you have a lot of custom content?  having way too much, or having just one bad or incompatible piece can cause game issues, like slow/never loading.  Try removing all your custom content, and see if the game loads fine without any custom content.  If it does load, then you most likely have a bad piece.  It is a slow, tedious process, but load your custom content back in a few pieces at time, checking to see if the game still loads.  You should be able to narrow down which piece is causing your problem.  Also, any content that is ugly, or you never use, just delete.

Either you have a bootleg copy, which is illegal, or your computer has low memory. Try cleaning out the hard drive or buying the real version of the game.
