Sims 2 game

Will not load, has before. Keeps saying " A problem occurred when trying to transfer the file TSDataResSims3DSims08.package from the media"

Please can u help. Have played this loads of times. There are no scratches or marks on the disc so I presume it is a inside job???????

Any advice would be very useful. Cheers
