Okay so i tried to play the Sims 2 the other night on my computer and it shut down, and it did it again another night so i decided to uninstall it and reinstall it again.. But i'm on disc one and it says it's 100% but it keeps coming up with this message..

TSData\Res\Sound\Voice5.package from the media

Do you want to retry to copy the file or cancel the installation?

So i click retry and i have like, 20 times and still comes up..

I want to play. Please help! :(

  1. You might try uninstalling it and then restarting your system before you reinstall it. Also check this spot

    mydocuments>eagames>sims 2

see if there is anything there. If there is anything saying sims 2 I would go ahead and delete it and then try reinstalling the game.

  2. check if your cd has any scratches on it, your cd-rom player is clean, looks like the installation can't read that specific path, either its missing or it can't read it.

now about the game shutting down, either you're running low on ram and your pc can't handle the game.

  3. Have you uninstalled it again and the installed it?

You may want to call the company and request customer service.

I bet they'll be glad  to help you.

  4. *sigh part II*

Buy a laser lens cleaner at Walmart.  Run it in your CD drive four or five times.  Try the load again.  People think a drive never gets dirty.  Well, they do.  Use the lens cleaner every week or so.

  5. Sorry but the disc is scratched and a file or files were damaged.

you will need to buy a new disc or try to do some scratch removal.

you can get a do it yourself kit from a CD shop or get the disc done properly at a DVD hire store for about 5 AUD
