Sims 2 pets....help!?

i recently bought a computer game:sims 2 pets.when i was install it,it said that i need to purchase a sims 2 game.what is that?why can't i upload it to my computer?it confuses me alot.please help.is there any sims 1 pets?

The sims 2 pets is an amazing game but im afraid you will need the original double deluxe. If i was you i would save up and buy that game now!!!!!

Sims is a expansion pack so if you want 2 other games along with it get Sims 2 Double Deluxe it comes with 2 other games as well so its a great deal. You need a base game to run sims 2 pets! Its worth it it is really fun!
