Sims 2 problems and can't play it?

I've downloaded Sims 2 to my PC but all the expansions don't work on my comp and says to reinstall sims 2 I did and still have problems

did you download the game from the EA on-line store, or from some file sharing site?  If you got it from EA, try re-installing, or contacting their tech support.

If you got the game from a file sharing site, that is your problem.  You will need to purchase a legit copy of the game.  Sims2 Double Deluxe is only about $30.00 right now.

If you do have a legit copy, and only the expansion packs are not working, your computer probably does not meet all the system requirements.
