Sims 2 question , Help ?

Ok ,

I installed all my sims 2 games into my laptop about 2 years ago .

And today I decided I wanted to play on my PC .

And , before that i put in the sims 2 disc , and went out to the sims 2 website and downloaded a few things onto the disc .

Then when I went to My computer , and clicked on all the files the disk isnt showing up !

And I keep opening and closing , and still nothing !

I only have one disk for the sims 2 , am I missing one .

The one I am putting in there is the " Game Disk " .

Am I missing one ?

And also , when I put in the Sims 2 pets it asks me to install the sims 2 first .

what exactly did you download to the disk? to where? is it to the pc or your laptop? and what files did you click when the disk isn't showing up? its too complicated now!

in the sims 2 for cd,you need all the 4 cds to get the game to install.if you're missing one of them,i'm afraid you have to get the new one.

also,you have to install basic the sims 2 game first before you install the sims 2 pets.

The Sims 2 is composed of 4 cds, you have to have 4 to install it to your pc. You have to insert disk 1 first.  And to install the other expansion packs, like pets and nightlife you have to install first the original sims 2.

to see if you accidentally uninstalled it, go to start, then control pannel, click on Add of Remove programs, it'll take a few seconds for the box to appear if there are a lot of programs but it will have a list of ALL of your computer programs, and if Sims 2 is not on that list (it should be in alphabetical order) then you need to reinstall it.

I think there are 3 install discs and the game disc. In any case, you are missing at least one, possibly more, and you obviously can't install the game without all the necessary discs. Go back to playing on your laptop.

For one thing, there is 4 disks for Sims 2! About the sims 2 pets part: You have to download Sims 2 first...

Why did you download the files onto the disk? You may have downloaded a corrupted file...

Now, the main problem: Make sure that your CD says "Disk 1" on it. If it doesn't then it won't work.
