  1. Ahh, it looks like by uninstalling the sims 2 freetime you ended up deleting everything. After you installed the sims 2 FreeTime you were supposed to run your game with that disc in the computer (since it was released after Bon Voyage). If you didn't back up and save your neighborhoods/downloads/creations before you uninstalled FreeTime then you lost everything, because everything you make is deleted with the uninstallation.

    I suggest uninstalling your Bon Voyage game also, run your game without it. See if it works fine, then just re-install Bon Voyage again. Don't install FreeTime again, unless you're getting the game yourself..since you need the disc to play. The only instance that you wouldn't need the disc to play is if you get Apartment Life which comes out August 26. Then you would run your game with the Apartment Life disc inserted.

    As for your direct X 9 problem, I think was caused by re-installing your games and such. The only thing I can think of is just updating to Direct X10 again from its website (search google).

    And finally, for future problems, to backup your neighborhoods just copy and paste the necessary files to your desktop or a safe folder (that is not the EA Games folder). Here are the neighborhoods to keep in mind from EA Games/The Sims/Neighborhoods:

    N001 = Pleasantview

    N002 = Strangetown

    N003 = Veronaville

    G001 = Riverblossom Hills (Seasons)

    F001 = Desiderata Valley (Free Time)

    N004  and so on = Any neighborhood you've created.

    If you have any downloads also save that downloads folder

    Good Luck
