I have around all of the expansions now...unfortunatly after a while of playing something messed up the game. Whenever I tried to run the game using my latest expansion (free time) It wouldn't load up to go to the menu screen. It Just stayed in that loading after the cutscene in the begining. So i tried to reinstall...got the expansions and all uninstalled. Once I tried to uninstall sims it said i still have expansions up. I tried looking around and got rid of about all the files for expansions. I tried to see the expansion that was making the problem it said seasons. I finally got rid of all the files but then it said pets...I don't know what the problem is but I am sure I have no files of the expansions and I still can't uninstall sims...Now It won't even load up to play and I can't uninstall...So I am stuck and pretty much clueless on the remaining files...

  1. I had this problem with Pets (grrrrr) Nothing worked and I eventually had to uninstall it completely by going into the registry. I followed this Sims2wiki guide on how to do it.

  2. go to the start menu and click search and type in sims and delete everything that comes up. restart your computer and try an uninstall from the add/remove programs list.

if that does not fix the problem. just pop the games in in order and install them, it will usually over write the files.

there should also be an option to uninstall when you put the sims disk in, although i am not 100% sure. if so, you can try that option.
