Sims 3 neighborhood?

Question

Ok I know that the Sims3 is going to a seamless neighborhood (which is AWESOME), but I am a bit confused. Scenario: You create 2 families. Both are families of 4 ( two parents and two children). Lets say you play one family and just that one. As time goes on in the Sim world your 1 family runs into 2 family and they are the same ages even though you haven't played with 2 family for a long time... If this is the case that would be neat. That is what they make it seam like, but I didn't know if it was only for non-controllable sims. Not expecting anyone to really know the answer, because I couldn't find it. But am I the only one getting this interpretation? Thanks!

That definitely WOULD be neat, but I don't think it's going to be like that. It's probably just going to be like the other Sims games, where your Sims age as you play. That would be awesome though! (:

I think that the sim families you make are only going to age as you play. just like previous sims games
