Simulated Reality...?

Hi

Does anyone think humanity will ever develope a simulated reality similar to the matrix? And if so would that not prove that humanity does not exist?

Surely the AI would never realise that they were not real people and that they were not in the real world, and would therefore think that they were real. However, if we developed SR then surely we would have thousands of different programmes (computer games etc.) so that in the end there would be trillions of AI living in different 'real' worlds. Therefore what is the chance that we are the only civilisation to develope SR? Surely the chances are 10 000 to 1 that we are AI ourselves?

So does anyone think a SR will ever be developed? And if so would it not prove our own non-existance?

I read something similar to that on the internet and it got me thinking...

We may not realise when if it is developed, you know.

Who knows?

There's all sortss been developedthese days so maybe it could be =]

Maybe there is somebody sat trying to design it as we speak, personally I think the Chinese/Japanese will come up with something close before anybody, the seem to have a better more advanced knowlege of things than we do Lol.

Anybody else have thoughts?
