Sin Palo expected to make mark in Wilderness Chase
The name of W. P. Mullins is sufficient to gauge Sin Palo’s calibre. Moreover, the bay gelding has proved his unique class with the excellent feats he achieved during the last four months.
Partially due to Mullins’ excellent training and partially for his inherent talent, the eight-year-old veteran horse has a good hand in every sort of race conditions.
In the light of all these factors, we can believe that the Irish gelding will be able to seal a sterling success in the high-voltage contest of the Wilderness Chase that is set to go down at Clonmel on Thursday, November 1.
The racecourse of 2 miles and 4 furlongs has yielding surface that suits well to Sin Palo as he bagged his last victory over such sort of track. Thus, the brilliant sprinter will compete quite confidently against five rivals for the sake of the prize money worth €10,350.
In the month of June, the son of Dushyantor out of Platinum Gold grabbed a couple of consecutive triumphs at Kilbeggan. First, he finished first in the Follow Kilbeggan Races On Facebook Maiden Hurdle and then, sealed top spot in the Loughnagore Beginners Chase.
Both were fabulous performances that made the punters and the sport fans felt how skilled the gelding was.
After finishing 4th in the Christy McSweeney Memorial Novice Chase of July 17, he bagged the runner-up position in Ryans Cleaning Chase on September 12.
Since he failed in the Tote Return All Profits To Irish Racing Chase of September 24, Mullins’ star has been out of action.
Now, he is all ready to make a strong comeback. Hopefully, he will come up to all the expectations hinged on him.
However, Whatuthink can prove to be a threat for him. The Oliver McKiernan trained chestnut gelding marvellously bagged a triumph each in June and July. As a whole, he has seven wins off 53 starts.
The Irish horse could not be able to do well during the last two months, thus, he is too looking for a decent comeback.
The rip-roaring fight between these two geldings will be amazing to watch. Good luck to them.
