Sina Sutter conquers Women’s 100m butterfly title in Wuppertal: 2011 German Short Course Nationals
Sina Sutter bulldozed her rivals during the penultimate evening session of the 2011 German Short Course Nationals, in Wuppertal, Germany, on Sunday, November 27.
Sutter claimed gold medal in the Women’s 100m butterfly final heat by touching the finishing divider in a striking mark of 58.03 seconds. More importantly, Sutter jumped to fourteenth spot in the current standing of world swimming. In the meantime, the silver
title was taken over by Franziska Hentke in a winning mark of 58.83 seconds and the bronze medal went to Alexandra Wenk in a time of 59.26 seconds.
Meanwhile, Lena Kalla earned fourth spot in the respective splash by claiming the finishing barricade in an impressive mark of 59.57 seconds and the fifth place honour went to Paulina Schmiedel in a time of 1 minute and 00.14 seconds. Elena Czeschner claimed
sixth position in a mark of 1 minute and 00.32 seconds, while the seventh spot went to Iris Rosenberger in a time of 1 minute and 00.74 seconds.
Last, but not the least, Nina Schiffer got eighth position in the respective meet by thrashing the finishing blockade in a spot of 1 minute and 01.57 seconds.
Meanwhile, the Women’s 100m butterfly B final heat was claimed by Anne Leuthold in a winning time of 1 minute and 00.82 seconds. Sita Kusserow earned second place honour in the respective splash by clicking the finishing divider in a time of 1 minute and
00.94 seconds, whereas, third spot went to Paula Beyer in 1 minute and 01.06 seconds, respectively.
Juliane Reinhold picked fourth spot in a time of 1 minute and 01.25 seconds, while Isabelle Tschirch settled fifth in 1 minute and 01.35 seconds. Saskia Donat earned sixth place honour by hitting the finishing barricade in a mark of 1 minute and 01.43 seconds,
whereas, Zita Grunzke had to settle at seventh spot in a time of 1 minute and 02.09 seconds. Finally, Uta Muller earned eighth position in 1 minute and 02.46 seconds.
Additionally, Steffen Deibler took home the Men’s 50m freestyle title by banging the finishing divider in a thrilling time of 21.57 seconds. More importantly, Deibler jumped to tenth place in the existing ranking of international swimming. Marco Di Carli
earned silver title in a blot of 21.83 seconds, whereas, the bronze medal went to Christoph Fildebrandt in 21.98 seconds.
Due to their striking swims, Sina Sutter and Steffen Deibler were awarded gold medals along with cash prizes after the session’s conclusion. The 2011 German Short Course Nationals is offering a riveting opportunity to all swimmers of Germany to prepare well
