I think he should be awarded with honorary American Citizenship until he drops the number 1 ranking. America & the sport of tennis need a top ranked American. Don't you guys agree?

  1. i kinda of agree but now ur saying that u dont think that andy roddick is top ranked?

    what about Blake?

they are very good, maybe not top ranked, but within 20.

but i dont think federer would wanna do that that would be like betraying his own country.

but ur right it would be cool if he did that.

  2. Get over yourself and the US.

  3. typical self-centered american thinking.

why would federer found been US citizen interesting?

besides he's proud of his heritage, he really is a well traveled world citizen. there's nothing US can offer him.

  4. Roddick and Blake are both in the top 10 currently and Roddick would have many more championships if it wasn't for Federer. They are top ranked but Federer is just too dominant.

  5. You think that just because the US doesn't have a strong star player that Federer should apply for US citizenship?  What are you talking about?  You think a person should just leave their country and go for the US just because?  Come on.  You can't be serious.  In other countries they take pride on their patriotism and honor their country.  Being Swiss is not bad either.

I don't think he should apply for the reason you say here.  If he were to apply let it be because he wants to be American or wants to live in the US forever or whatever. But because Andy Roddick, James Blake and their practice buddies are such lame players shouldn't be the reason.

  6. no I don't want his a**. He and his girlfriend of 10-years overseas

  7. Absolutely not! Whoever is number one in the world--congratulations to them; whichever country they come from doesn't matter. So, it is thoughts like this that show the world the "American Superiority Complex," which needs to stop.

    Vive la Suisse!

    Vive le monde!

  8. No way! Federer is proud to represent his own country! How many Swiss players have you seen ranked so high?

  9. hahahaaha!! u're joking right? good one...

  10. hahahahaha.. Americans need to find someone so we can back to the era of McEnroe, Agassi, Sampras, Conners.

  11. Well, I think it would be a win-win situation... for the US. Not too sure Roger would feel the same though. I've never heard him talk about wanting to change nationality and I don't, in a million years, see it happening. Still, stranger things (may) have happened...:P

  12. You know not all countries in the world are poor...it seems like you think everyone wants to be USA citizens. That's ridiculous.do you know anything about Switzerland? It's one of the  best countries to live in the world, maybe even better than USA in every term..so don't get your hopes up, that won't happen. Besides Federer is most popular person there and very proud to be Swiss.

  13. No, he has more sense than that.

  14. LOL that would be great for America but I doubt it would happen. I'd love it lol. Too bad he lives in Monte Carlo....acutally lucky him.

  15. try telling him that

  16. he is a proud swiss man...and forever will be....maybe with some luck roddick will work some magic
