Why do some of you persist in this fantasy about Global Warming being a hoax? Is it perhaps because you do not read about the fact that most of the developed world not only recognises the validity of the science behind it but has long been taking action?

It has absolutely nothing to do with Socialists or Capitalism.  European governments are not Socialist within the US definition of the term (Communist as it would be referred to in Europe) most of them have very similar views and policies to the Republicans, i.e. they are conservative. Why then have they long since decided to take action whilst the US still falters? Perhaps because for once the EU has been far sighted enough to realise (a) something absolutely has to be done because the science is sound enough to make a judgement based upon it & (b) if the US takes no action then the EU will be disadvantaged in the short term due to the diversion of GDP but in the long term the economy will be far stronger than the US due to the security and cheapness of non-petroleum based energy sources.

Yes, I believe they will find another way to force developed countries into following ridiculous regulations that force companies into buying carbon credits for something that does not exist.  Al Gore is making millions off selling "credits"  while the rest of us are being forced to pay the additional cost added by companies because tree huggers want their local EVIL corporation to Go Green!

Global warming is most certainly not being exposed as a hoax.  Capitalism is not incompatible with cooperation to face a major threat facing the world and it is short sighted of those who believe otherwise.

I agree that some on the left have been involved in a Hoax, but I don't think it's going to be swept away so quickly. It has become a political and religious movement. Calling it a hoax, to the believer is blasphemy. All the scientific fact in the world will not change the die-hard, until they can find a more convenient god.

Global warming is not being exposed as a hoax! It has been accepted by scientists all over the world as a fact. People who say it's a hoax are the ones who can't face facts.
