Since I have a yellow orange kind of golden undertone what do I say when I'm ask if my skin is medium or dark?

It depends on what brand you are looking at, but I would say most often you'd be medium. Most often the dark shades are reserved for those with African backgrounds or Carribean and Eastern countries.

No. don't go dark. Yes tyou may be african but your skin tones arn't really much of one. So go medium. First of all not all have the same tones so don't worry, just go light if your light or dark if your dark. It really has nothing to do w/ ethnicity. Im Mexican but i have a really light color, almost white, so i say light. Since your African amercican, you still say medium because your light for an african american. :] hope it helps.
