  1. Hmm these bumps sound like ingrown hairs. Ingrown hairs (also called razor bumps) are unsightly and painful. They result when the shaved hair gets trapped inside the follicle or grows back into the skin. It can cause scarring, redness and swelling.

You can reduce the amount of ingrown hairs by:

    - Hydrating your hair by waiting for 2-3 minutes after stepping into the shower or bath before you shave making it easier to shave! But make sure you only soak for 2-3 minutes though, otherwise you’ll end up with wrinkly slightly swollen skin making it more difficult to get a smooth, close shave.

    - Applying a moisturising shave gel. Soap is great for cleaning your body, but it’s just no good for shaving! Some soaps cause dryness and flaking and may clog the razor during shaving which may leave you with stubbly skin.

Hope this helps, but if you want/need anymore information, the website provided below has some great tips for treating and avoiding ingrown hairs!

  2. My girlfriend has the same problem.  Her problem is that she doesn't shave them very often or very carefully.  But as you shave over time and do it carefully (not quickly and with some sort of shaving gel) the red dots should fade as your skin adapts to what you are doing to it.

  3. This sounds like razor rash, maybe consider trying to get your legs waxed.

Then make sure you exfoliate your legs daily as this helps reduce any reactions or ingrown hair,

  4. Sounds like a shaving rash.  Can you not use a Wax cream like Veet?

  5. They are called razor bumps. You have to give them a lot of time to fade away. When shaving, try using lots and lots of soap/foam and shaving WITH the direction of the hair. You won't get as close of a shave, but you will prevent burn/bumps. Wait for the bumps to go away before shaving again however, or it will just get worse.

  6. they could be a sign of slight irritation.  try aloe vera gel to see if that will calm/ fade them.
