If I believed in Jesus the last thing I would want is that Jesus believed in ghosts. Or was it some ancient idiot who believed in demons wrote his version of Jesus into the bible?

  1. The Bible was written by men inspired by the Holy Spirit.  Satan loves it when people don't believe in him or his demons.  They just slide right into h**l without a fight.

  2. Ghost and demons are not the same.  Personally I don't believe in ghost in a paranormal sense.  Jesus was in tuned to the physical/material world as well as the spiritual/non-material.  There are indeed 'light' and 'dark' force that can be experienced in the human condition.  The voices in the head of psychopath have been said to be 'dark forces' from the 'other side' i.e., "the devil/voices to me to do it" (a defective mind is much more easier to corrupt than a completely functional one).  This has be confirmed by astral travel and projection which there are teaching seminars to do so.

Even The Buddha described his high intense spiritual condition as being attack by demons from all sides, and that it felt as if all his bones in his body were being crushed.  This is from carrying the burden of the collective unconscious ego of mankind at that level of enlightenment.  These physical sensations have been reported by all enlightened beings in history who were able to do so (Jesus sweated blood in the Garden of Gethsemane).

What you perceive as demons is probably far from the authentic experience descried by others.  Maybe because you are not interested or seeking topics like this is why you are unaware of them.  Dark energies, as I refer to them, probably prefer that you are not aware of them.

  3. U dont have to belive anything..no forces  you too..but its very ignorant to act like you know its a fact what u just mentioned..Thats why i say when i talk about my religion .."I Believe..."

  4. What do Christ's statements about demons tell us about his mind?

That he was a product of his times or at least had to speak in terms that the people of his time could understand.

You believe in germs and atoms, because every educated sane person does. However prior to late 19th century these things didn't "exist" because they had not been discovered yet. So even the most brillant mind wouldn't have known about them.

For example, Socrates wrote that the brain exists to cool the blood. Socrates also believed in invisible spirits that influenced people. Muses for example. Does his glaring medical error completely invalidate the Socratic method?  Does his belief in a spirit world cancel out his insights into humanity?

This leads to two possiblities. Christ was a moral philosopher with an ancient eduction or that as God he had total knowledge of the universive but decided to focus on his spiritual teaching rather than revealing the complete workings of the natural world.

This decision may be for the best for many reasons.

Over two thousand years later we still do not completely understand our world and since Christ's time on earth was limited by his human body he just didn't have time to teach us all about physics, germs, atomic theory, and all the other things we have yet to even dream of.

Secondly, giving mankind the keys to the material universe might not have been the best idea. Do you think we'd even still exist today if we'd known how to split the atom for the last two thousand years?

Finallly knowledge and material progress just might not be the meaning of human existance. Perhaps it is better to be a good person rather than a clever one.

Oh yeah.. Jesus didn't ever talk about ghosts. Demons are spirits but they are not nor ever were human. Ghosts are the wandering spirits of dead people.  Sorry, I had to be clever.

  5. I think Jesus's belief that devils cause diseases proves that he could not have been God, otherwise he would've known about those itty-bitty germ thingies.

  6. You have no clue what you are even asking. Study up a little more.

  7. ...he was aware of all the various life styles dead, alive or demonic...

...he could do something about it too...

  8. believing in the Jesus of the Bible involves believing in demons.  believing in demons is no more unreasonable than believing in angels.  they counteract each other as the soldiers of good and the soldiers of unspeakable evil.  believing in the Bible requires believing in most if not all that is in it.  the stories of Jesus and demons aren't meant to frighten Christians, but instead to reassure them that he is more powerful and the ultimate authority that he possesses.  there are stories throughout the Bible and believing in Jesus as the son of God requires one to acknowledge the existence of physical forces of pure evil such as demons.

  9. LOL.

Just means he was an optimist.

As opposed to you and I who believe all the dark nasty human brutality arises from our hearts WITHOUT demonic encouragement.

The success of Christianity implies Jesus was EXACTLY what a religious figure needed to be.

Seriously dude, what are you thinking?  How can you base a moralistic religion on the notion that the good & evil share the same oblivion? (i.e. no ghosts)

I'm not sure you really grasp the CONCEPT of Religion.

Is this an honest question or just a cheap shot?

  10. Don't they talk about 'the Son, the Holy Father and the Holy Spirit' (some call it 'Holy Ghost') ? This is a world of opposites, isn't it ? If there is good then there is bad. If there is happiness then there is suffering. So, if there is God then there must be Satan, don't you think so ? Hey, if there weren't any Satan then why would we need God in the first place ? Relax brother, other religions also talk about these things.

  11. Jesus may not have been scientific ,but he's alive today

  12. First: The bible was written in stages and the Gospels date from about 70 A.D. I don't believe in demons, but demons have nothing to do with ghosts.

Second: The Bible is full of demons/ devils/ fallen angels/ how you'd like to call them, but that's not a reason to call anyone a idiot. And a lot of normal persons believe in ghosts.

Are you trying to be funny by asking this?
