Question:

Since Jesus said there is no sin of the world, this "Gospel of Mary", isn't that proof it's a fake?

Paul said:

Romans 3:23

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

And in this "Gospel of Mary", Peter says: "What is the sin of the world?" And I would gather that "Sin of the World" means "Original Sin". But anyway, Jesus says(supposedly):

The Savior said, " There is no sin, but it is you who make sin when you do the things that are like the nature of adultery, which is called 'sin.'

Well even atheists know not to do things like adultery, and they know it's bad. But this contradicts Paul's "all have sinned", and atheists don't believe in sin in that since that we all have done things like "adultery".

Come on now, "there is no sin"?? This is proof that this couldn't have been said by the Lord Jesus right?

  1. Jesus was talking about "Original Sin".  There is no Original Sin, each is responsible for their own sins and not the sins of their fathers.  Like in Ezekiel 18:20 ”The soul who sins is the one who will die. The son will not share the guilt of the father, nor will the father share the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous man will be credited to him, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against him.”

  2. Lion of Judah - an apt name!

Jesus would never tell people there is sin and then tell them there is no sin. It's nonsense. He died as payment for sin! *cries* People are fooled by stuff like that Mary nonsense.

  3. There is no gospel of Mary.

  4. "even atheists"- as if that's the lowest of the low....

Obviously your questions have nothing to do with christianity... only trolling and looking for attention.

  5. I think Jesus was saying that "sin" is a word invented by man to describe the things we do that we know are wrong.  Simple as that.

  6. Jesus never said there wasn't sin. For if this logic plays out, the need for his death was in vain. You have completely misinterpreted (taken out of context) the words of our lord. Satan did the same thing when he tempted Christ. He garbled scripture but Jesus fought back with the truth.

    God Bless

  7. I'm not familiar with the Gospel of Mary, but if it contradicts the Word of God (the Bible), then you can trust that it is not a part of the inspired Word of God.

Just as you have quoted, "All have sinned." Sin entered the world through Adam and Jesus Christ alone is the only sinless one who has power to save. We are each born with a sinful nature and only Christ's death on the cross is able to free us from the bondage of sin. If the world was without sin, why would we have need for a Savior?

Trust what the Bible says. If you are looking for a good, trustworthy and readable translation, I would recommend the New International Version. Hope this helps!

Keep seeking the truth: Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6)

  8. If you think about it, a lot of things Jesus says contradicts things that God has said. Just look at how horribly incoherent the old and new testament are-- completely different philosophies!

  9. start with getting your facts in order then reask your question if you still have one.  do not "quote" the Bible and compare it to anything.  Nothing written compares.  anyone can look at any book and come up with codes, and misleadings if they manipulate the words that are written.  The earth itself does not sin!  dirt can not sin!  water can not sin!  however free will of man can drown another in water!  free will of man can kill and bury a man but the dirt did not kill the man no more than the water drowned the man.  you make mention of adultery as if it is the only sin.  Is it the only sin you are feeling guilty about?  If you are feeling guilty, you need to repent, and ask for forgiveness.  If you are feeling guilty, you already know the answer to your questions and are merely looking for someone here on earth that can alleviate that guilt and sooooo sorry it won't happen.

  10. There is no Gospel of Mary in The Bible

  11. There is no "gospel of Mary"....

"sin" is any act against The Word and Will of God for mankind... but... The Word and Will of God may not be imposed, in this mortal world, upon any one not in willing submission to God.... so the rest of the world is free to get away with anything it can under the laws of the society they live in.

  12. There is no sin but what is created by actions and everyone does it. That's not so hard to decipher.

Edited to add;  The fact is, the two statements don't contradict each other.

  13. You're trying to prove that fake characters from a fake book spoke fake words and did fake actions...ok...you must still play with your GI Joe dolls too...

  14. It doesn't prove anything. For all we know (if we believe Gospel accounts to be almost movie scripts to Jesus' life) Romans could be wrong, or any other back for that matter. We shouldn't say the Gospel of Mary is a fake just because it isn't IN the bible or because it is a recent gospel.

  15. Hahahahah!

    Oh, you Christians.

What's your proof that the Bible isn't "fake" in the same sense you assume the Gospel of Mary to be fake?

"Well even atheists know not to do things like adultery, and they know it's bad."

Adultery is defined as s*x outside of marriage.  Since when is that "bad?"  Because you think God said so?

I happen to believe that there truly is no such thing as sin.  Not because I'm an atheist, but because obviously "sin" is a totally subjective concept and is relative depending on one's point of view.  How can something so nebulous as "sin" truly be said to exist?  I think Jesus in the Gospel of Mary has it right.  Maybe Jesus was just thinking harder about abstract concepts like sin than you are.

  16. It proves the bible is full of bull.

  17. No, it just shows the bible was tampered with.
