McCain said just the opposite: "I am all in favor of pay equity for women..."

What he opposed was a "bill [that] sought to counteract a Supreme Court decision limiting how long workers can wait before suing for pay discrimination" because it "opens us up to lawsuits for all kinds of problems", which is not the same thing as opposing equal pay for women.

For those of you asking for proof, this is another example of Democratic hatcheting.  They put up a ridiculous bill in the Senate designed to enhance the power of trial lawyers who sue corporations, in this particular bill, making is easier for people to sue over pay discrimination.  

Yeah...like we need to make it easier to sue people in this country.  So McCain, like most other conservatives voted against it.

Then, predictably, this becomes "McCain is against equal pay for women!"  What bs.  Republicans can't oppose anti-capitalistic practices like this without being labeled sexist?  Please.
