Since McCain doesn't understand the economy, can we assume that he doesn't understand security?

  2. McCain doesn't have to understand anything. Bush and his neocon buddies have his policy already in place.

    He just has to give some speeches in front of military groups and Republican rallies and shake a few hands.

    You can't assume these things, you have to investigate a little.

  4. Its there anything good about him....Ive been trying to learn what he has to offer as president, but I all I can find is him talking smack. The only good thing I hear is that he was a pow but I don't see what that has to do with running the country.

Because both the economy and national (in)security are becoming increasingly tied together in due part to the pervasive nature of globalization and the strong push towards more protectionist policies, it can be assumed that McCain's admitted lack of knowledge could allude to his general misunderstanding on issues of both national security & global stability.  (Getting captured on enemy territory decades ago does not automatically make one an "expert" on world affairs.)   Still, McSame's blind adherence to the Bush Doctrine™ is more telling of his inferiority on security than anything else.

    (On a side note, taking into account McCain's history of ad hominems, verbal faux pas and other public slips of the tongue, it can also be assumed that he does not comprehend simple logic. )

  8. You are right to finance all the wars that he wants to start he will need a strong grounding in economics since these two issues are integrally linked. We must conclude therefore that McCain is not qualified to be President

  11. Wrong.  No one person knows every thing.  The difference between Obama and McCain is that McCain knows his limitations and will thus be able to remedy it by choosing people who are expert in the matter.  Obama thinks he knows everything.

  13. Oh no, he just understands one way to get it though. He is the son of a son of an Admiral. When he sat down to the dinner table with his pappy they talked about what a good thing war is. What a great problem solver it is.

    He is not just pro war he is war to the bone. It is what he is made of. He would rather fight wars than whatever he does with wife, which is probably talk about war and killing.
