    The total eclipse happens between 5:30 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, depending on where the camera is located.

    I can't tell you which TV channel, but if you're up early I'm sure the news channels like Fox and CNN will have it, not to mention internet broadcasters.

    By the way, you've heard people talk, I'm sure, about how TV coverage of an event often leaves something to be desired, compared with yourself being personally present?  I've been to a total eclipse and also watched them on TV, and I can tell you:  There is no spectacle for which that adage is more true than a total eclipse of the sun!
