  1. I bet there MUST be some area in Saint Augustine that doesn't have happy vibes!

Due to it's horrific past, there must be some miserable spots over there.

  2. I know what you mean...I live not too far from there..although it's been years since I've been there. There are lots of churches there..maybe that's why. But, I've learned from experiences...don't rely on your feelings all the time...unless they're bad feelings. Sometimes the good feelings aren't always accurate. I don't know why. Maybe it can be a bad area with good people..or a good area with bad people..or a mix of both. Maybe you're around good people. If a group of really bad people came to St. Augustine..you might not have such good feelings.Since it was named after a saint..maybe he's guarding the city. I'm just guessing.

  3. It depends on where you are within St. Augustine.

The town is very tight knit and very proud of being the oldest U.S. surviving city. That in itself makes it seem pretty uplifting, that and the bars on every corner. However they also have come to live with the spirits that roam their town and a proud of that also.

If you want to feel unhappy or the devastating past then I suggest you check out some other places while you are there.

Like inside the the Castillo, the Spanish Hospital, The history house, Drug store, and the Old School house and the Tolomato Cemetery. Don't forget the light house and the grounds keepers place a short ride over the bridge.

All these places are pretty accessible except the Spanish Hospital. But check out one of the many many ghost tours and then go back on your own time you will see what I mean.

  4. I really don't know this St Augustines to comment, but I can tell you that there are locations that leave alot of explanation to what goes on. There is a pub in Weston Super Mare that has a rather unusual customer I have witnessed it for my own eyes. Some places you get a good feeling and others you get a bad feeling, alot have cold spots even when the heaters are on. Although the place appears to be empty, there seems life is in abundance. Many of these things remain unexplained, for those who believe there is nothing to be affraid of. You have to fear the living more than the dead. The paranormal is very real and is an interim exsistance between death and rebirth.
