  1. LOL i guess, the gold's all that matters. Seriously you don't want to go into any competition wanting to be the third or second best.

  2. not everything

the U.S. may be the only other country than China to get more than 30 gold medals..........

If you can make fun of that.......I guess you are really reaching to find an insult

  3. it makes the US much better than whatever sh*thole country you come from.

  4. How many times have you asked this question before, I forgot, is it 10 or 11.

  5. They have more medals overall, that would lead me to believe they have better overall talent.  A lot of medals is better than not a lot of medals, that's easy.

  6. Like I tell everyone, there is no single winner at the olympics. Everyone wins just because they had the courage to take part. As far as medals go, I would think that whoever had the most overall would be the medal winner.

  7. Well not in everything. We do have 29 gold, a lot of which comes from individual athletes like Phelps with 8 out of 15 Gold for men. China has more athletes winning Gold medals in more variety of events, they are smashing the U.S in the gold count. Gold medals are worth the most, that's why everybody wants Gold and rarely happy with silver or bronze, unless you were not expected to place top 3 at all. So yeah, this Olympics China is definitely the best and is ranked Number 1 in the World. But in America it's different, America is ranked number 1 in America. To say who has the better team overall is hard to say, in my opinion China has the better team overall because they are winning Gold in more events than the U.S and also they are not that much behind in terms of total medals, but U.S is pretty far behind in terms of Gold medals.

  8. As an American I can say there are plenty of things that we are not good at.   Humility.  Foreign Policy.  Table tennis.

But I'm proud of all Americans who have competed honestly whether or not they won gold.  I root for all honest competitors in these games regardless of country.

I applaud the great performance of Chinese weightlifters, Kenyan distance runners, Romanian gymnasts, Australian triathletes and South African Swimmers and many more.

I'm most proud of my country for the amazing diversity in the olympics, which is seen from no other country on earth.  We have african-american track champions, russian-american gymanstics champions, chinese volleyball and gymanstics coaches, romanian gymanastics coaches, mexican-american softball stars, japanese-american baseball stars.

That is the true genius of the USA, that all men (and women) are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights, among these Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  We are the best in the world at that.  And that trumps table tennis any day.

  9. i agree with "me".

btw, just in case you haven't noticed, nobody in the U.S. cares if you rank them 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or 16th, they only care what their fellow Olympic loving Americans think, after all, that's all that matters.  They disregard haters.

You can tally the medals 16 different ways from Sunday, Americans don't care.

  10. we get it; you don't like the USA. it doesn't mean you keep having to pick fights on here by asking the same questions.

  11. No. You forget that we have 29 gold medals. Nice try but you lose.

And, all of our medals show how versatile we are. We have medals in nearly every sport.

  12. I guess that makes you No. 1 in asking the most stupidest questions in here.

  13. Who gives a sh*t.  It doesn't mean the USA is 2nd or 3rd best in everything.  It means they have the most silver and bronze medals that's all.  And a bunch of gold medals to boot.
