first of all this team is better prepared than the last team and the last olympics was the first that they lost since they let nba player play.  So Kobe makes this team better but I think they would have been winning anyway without him but he definitely makes them better but as far as the next olympic in 4 years I am sure they will welcome him to play so their country men and women can see him but as far as a player he will be close to 34 or  will be 34 yrs old and he will not be the same player he is today.

Ryan s if Colango thought that team USA could win without him why di d they invite him then? Why couldn't they win without him i 04' and 06' with D wade and Bron? His defense is not lockdown??? Have seen what happened to the players and guarded? Anyway by the next Olympics Kobe will be too old to play and prolly will concentre on the Lakers assuming he's still playing for them.

No offense but Kobe is absolutley choking in the olympics right now. He is shooting to many contested jumpers and his D isn't as lock down as he says it is .

Players like LeBron and Wade are leading that team to victories.
