Since our wedding is going to be small?

Would it be nice to just wear our nicest jeans and a sweater? We're inviting my 3 best friends and his 3 best friends and we're going to get married on a mountain somewhere. We aren't having a reception or anything, we're just getting married and then taking our friends out to lunch. I was thinking in fall on top of a mountain it might be easier to do. What do you think?

An informally dressed wedding is still a wedding, you're still married, and it's still special.  I think jeans & sweaters on a mountain top is incredible.  How special.  I'd probably want a camp fire going, too!

That would be perfect for a mountain wedding. Maybe you guys could get matching hats and scarves in "your" colors -- it would look really cute in the pictures.  Congrats!

It's your wedding. Wear what both of you feel confortable wearing. The ceremony isn't about what you wear or where you're standing when you say your vows.....it's about commiting to one another and loving one another. If both of you are comfortable wearing jeans, then wear them! Congrats on your wedding and best of luck to you!

whatever you decide, make sure you tell your friends so they dont come in dresses and you are both wearing jeans! They would feel very out of place!

Like the others have said...it's whatever you want to do.  But, don't think that just because your wedding is small that you should have to "settle" for less if you don't want to.

Yes, I do think if you are going to a mountain top, pants might be easier....but if you want to wear a dress, then you should!

If it was me (my personal opinion and taste), I would not wear jeans.  Hey....I wear jeans all the time...I love them!  But, this IS your wedding.  It is not just another day!  If you think you would be more comfortable in pants, I would buy some nice black, (or, if you prefer....gray, blue, brown ~ whatever color you like!) dress pants and pair that with a nice white sweater.  I would definitely get something new to wear....not just pull some jeans out of the closet.

I am all for comfort and low budget weddings and I think yours sounds absolutely beautiful....a mountain top with your best friends?  Perfect!  However, I would not treat it as any other day.  I would want to wear something brand new and perhaps pamper myself a little with a manicure or a facial.
