  1. Frazier would have KOed Tyson faster than Holyfield did.

  2. If they were both in their prime, and the same age, I think Mike would put Joe down. Mikes punch was nothing to fool with. I'm not sure about a Tyson/Ali fight, Ali was just to hard to hit, and a master of his craft.

  3. Everyone doesn't love Tyson, I for one think he wasted his life and talent.

    He is a rapist.

Before his downfall Tyson would win.

  4. You basically have a guy that never quits against a guy that can't stand up to adversity.

Frazier TKO victory by round 10.

  5. well im not in love with tyson but he did dominate the heavyweight division in his prime, now asuming both of these fighters are in there prime i would say tyson wins by KO round 3.

  6. hahahahaha is all I can say to the youngster that think athletes from back in the days can compete with athletes from the 90s, perhaps you will understand that after years, Ali and Fraizer wish they can see how good fighters are gonna be 20 years from now, Mike Tyson KOs Fraizer and Ali in the same night, ask Ali and Fraizer, and to the boy that said that Tyson lacks heart, TYSON in his prime was FEARLESS, animal that dont give a, he just want to knock your head off, Fraizers speed CANNOT compete with Tyson, learn

  7. The problem with these debates, when talking about Mike Tyson, is that, when he was in his prime, confident years, he never fought a truly good fighter.

It's hard to get an accurate read on how good a boxer Tyson really was.  He tore through a bunch of nobodies.

And, when he finally fought a class fighter, he had all those other issues messing him up.

But we do know more clearly where Smokin' Joe stands, and we saw him beat several class fighters in his prime, including the greatest heavyweight champ of all time, Muhammad Ali.

Tyson's defense was always suspect.  Joe could've ripped through Mike's flimsy defense.

And Joe could take a punch, something most of the clowns Tyson fought couldn't.

So I'll say Joe Frazier TKO's Mike Tyson in seven.

  8. Joe *Frazier

I think Joe Frazier had a lot of heart, and had he been a fighter trained in the 90's with modern technology, it would have been a good story, but Ali, Foreman, and Frazier were using very different technology than is available today.

You know in the old football movies where the guys have one facebar on their helmet, and we laugh because it seems crazy?

Now imagine if guys with those helmets and padding went against football players with their modern equipment.

In boxing, training is a big part of the game.

BUT, putting all that aside, I think if everything was fair that Frazier was too tough for Tyson.

Tyson was used to stepping into the ring against people who were scared to death of him, and if someone is not afraid of Muhammad Ali, I do not think Mike Tyson will scare them.

Have you seen Frazier's duck and left hook against Ali in their first fight?

    Beaaauutiful!

  9. Ron-D your argument is flawed and it doesn't take much thought to prove it wrong.

If fighters of the 90's are superior to those of the 70's, then you need to logically and reasonably explain George Foreman regaining the heavyweight title 20 years after his prime!

Tyson was Ko'd by Holyfield. George went a full 12 and even rocked Evander once.

Tyson was a animal when things went his way. Heart is proven by coming back from adversity. Mike NEVER did that. When he was losing, he never came back. He never avenged a loss. When Holyfield was beating him for the 2nd time. He bit his ear to get out of it. Thats gutless!

Frazier continuing against Ali (in Manila) when he couldn't see the punches coming, speaks volumes for his heart.

As for the fight, as long as Frazier doesn't get caught early (which is possible) he takes control and wins in 8 to 10 rds

  10. I have answered this question many times before and i still come to the same conclusion. Frazier wins by KO. The difference between the two fighters is that Tyson lacks heart whilst Frazier had it in abundance. Mike may well knock Frazier down as another answerer has said but he would bounce back up off the floor to carry on fighting the difference would be if Frazier connects with one of those almighty Left hooks can anyone see Tyson getting back up, because i cant.

    Addition

Ron - All i can say is how many times did you see Tyson get up off the floor and want to carry on fighting once he had been floored or when he was up against it how often did he fight his way through it and get the victory, none, there you go he lacks heart. Also i would say being fearless has nothing to do with heart in a boxing ring if you are scared of someone you shouldnt really be a boxer, heart is about having the will and determination to carry on through adversity.
