  1. What they "create" is tailored to be what they need, and they use and burn it all cleanly. So nothing is not used by their "bodies", therefore nothing has to be gotten rid of. When they make the food, a biproduct of the chemical process is O2 and C6H12O6 (glucose).

    As to absorption, they take in light energy through chlorophyll and H2O and minerals through their root systems.

    As to the system, they have Phylum and xylem to transport minerals, food, and water throughout the plant, Using either actual tubes, or stacks of diamond shaped  sections connected together to fulfill this need. To move it up the tubes they use the vacuum effect of water evaporating from the leaves to pull the stuff up.
