  1. The bribe is forbidden in religions alllllllll the way and with its different definitions.

  2. Bribe is still haram.

but unfortunately it seems that you won't get any thing without it.

so if you will have some thing not yours ,that's defintley haram.

but if you will have your right AND THERE IS NO OTHER WAY , do it.

Another thing , I noticed that all people every where is mad about this , they all hate bribes and bribers so WHO IS DOING IT ?!!!!!!!!!

  3. why dont you and your friends chat this stuff in a "montada masry aw 3araby" cause here everybody is seeking for a qu. or answer that he or she is searching for..

i mean about hotels, taxi, currency, address of something, touristic stuff.. etc.

and its not good to reveal all the bad stuff about our country, government, education system, way of living circumstances..

    that's my opinion..

P.S. i saw many qu. ofthat kind not just from you.., so please dont be mad at me..

  4. Pre-Mubarak You could bribe someone to gain a right that isn't yours

Currently You pay bribes to get your right

I don't know what we can do in this world

  5. First I can not say Halal or Haram, it is not in my capacity.

But, in my opinion and what I read in several occasions, there is a big difference between "Rashwa" and "Itawa".

"Rashwa" you pay to get something you are not entitled to, like :

    - knowing the lowest price in a closed tender

    - Getting a "Pass" report for building that is not sound

    - Paying to allow customs to let in expired food

    .....etc.

this is totally clearly forbidden and I think it is Haram.

The other type which I think you are talking about. is when someone in a poistion to give you something you are entitled to only when you pay, like in Social insurance and when renew the car license,..etc.

Those guys are in control position you can do nothing about and your life will be stopped if you don't pay. I don't see how would this be a sin on your side. and I think it is like "Itawa" or "Baltaga".

Honestly Egypty, this was one of the reasons ahy I left Egypt, is why can't I just get my simple rights without going through these "Baltageya" everywhere?

Don't know, what do you think?

    Edit:

    I just found this interesting

  6. this is not wide spread in western countries which most of it's people are atheists or agnostics, and believe it or not it's wide spread in religious countries like Egypt which it's people believe in h**l and heaven, reward and punish for ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  7. I think its not haram to take your right without hurting anyone.

  8. It feels like bribery is the only way sometimes, but it is forbidden in our religion. So be careful. It is very Haram.
