  1. I'm still drinking all I can until that happens or not

  2. No it is not a sin if it supports your agenda.

  3. no

  4. No, the Bible's just okay as a good starting point, not the whole sum of Christianity.

  5. But it is, you should be a bit more careful,  No the word is not, the event is,

    Thessalonians 4:17

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

  6. The event is described, but is just not named the rapture.

  7. Armageddon is going to happen. i don't have to predict, it's in the book of Revelation.

  8. Another answerer mentioned Thessalonians 4:17.  Also, read Revelations 14.

  9. Tough one. On the one hand, they're promising to go away. On the other, they haven't yet.

I think the sin is getting our heathen hopes up for nothing.

  10. Technically, yes.  The bible states are not to worry about tomorrow for today has plenty of concerns.

    tsk tsk tsk

  11. Oh, but it is mentioned in the Bible. It says something about war and rumors of war. I don't think you can be any clearer than that!

  12. The WORD "rapture" isn't mentioned, but the CONCEPT of it is outlined in several places! The usage of the word "rapture" to describe the resurrection/translation of the Church comes from a Greek language translation of Scripture using the words "harpazo" and "rapare" which mean "to snatch away or seize". It's a rather apt description/interpretation of "...in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye...." if you ask me.

  13. The specific word "rapture" is not in the bible, however the bible certainly refers to it:

John 14:3  And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also.

1Corinthians 15:51-53  Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.

For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.

1Thessalonians 4:16-17  For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.
