Since the Red Sox are in first place in the wild card but second in the AL east will they still make the post?

the red sox are in 1st in the wild card and second in al east doe that mean they will make the playoffs if the season finishes like this?

If the season were to end right now, then yes the Red Sox would get into the playoffs with the Wild Card.

But since there is still a lot of baseball left to be played, there are plenty of chances for another team to snatch that away from them.

Let's see what happens with Joba's sore shoulder and Wang's return.  If all that goes well I coudl see the Sox and Yanks both overtaking Tampa just based on their experiences in playoff runs. I also wouldn't totally give up on one of the Central team's ending up ahead of the second place AL East team.

first of all, the yankees can choke on my balls... wang isn't even returning for the rest of the season dude so have fun  with that... and secondly the red sox will handle the rays no problem once the playoffs hit... the NL isn't good enough to win it

West: Angels

Central: White Sox

East: RED SOX

Wild card: twins

I don't think the Yankees will win the wildcard so the Red Sox have deeper pitching than the Yankees. The Red Sox will be a wildcard team this year.
