  1. Course even though China won in the gold count?

  2. NO U

  3. Whoa. Where were you for the 2008 Olympics?

  4. Everyone HAS their own opinion people, some people believe that the US won, and other believe China won. IT DOESN'T MATTER

Haha, I really agree with Jeff In Dallas

  5. Derek, you should not assume everyone in the world would envy us.  Up until this year, we have won every olympic overall medal count as well as gold, and now there are doubters that since we didn't win as much gold as the chinese, we aren't that dominant.  I think we need to go back to training starting Monday morning and look forward to mopping them all up in 2012.

  6. china has always been the leader, and then comes UK... AMERICA aint the best

  7. How do ya figure? China got 1/3rd more gold. Russia was right behind China in overall medals after the US. I'd say EVERYBODY had a good time!

  8. this question is ridiculous.

  9. Stop baiting.

  10. The US only dominates in some sports such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, beach volleyball, and softball. However, in other sports such as handball, rhythmic gymnastics, badminton, field hockey, modern pentathalon, and most martial arts events, the US teams seldom or never win medals. Even so, all that can change. The US team used to do very poorly in gymnastics but dominated in boxing. Now that situation has completely reversed itself. I can recall in past Olympics where US boxers could completely sweep all the events. This time, the team only won one medal. Another event where the US seems to be fading is in track and field. They weren't as strong this year as they have been in previous Olympics.

  11. You need to define "dominated" you meant? I would say that USA is a strong nation in sports. But this olympic, it did not perform as good as many other countries. The only sport I see USA is definitely dominated is swimming.

  12. um while i may be an american an patriotic and all i hardly think the USA dominated the olympics, we got like what 10% of the total medals

  13. USA kickks @ss

  14. China won! 51 gold to the US 36, silver and bronze don't equal 1st place. Get used to being 2nd it's your future

  15. I don;t think the USA is that much interested in being the overall leader in Olympics.  We just don;t care about soccer, ping pong, badmitten etc.  But I think we'll continue to be the best at our favorite sports.

  16. We didn't dominate the Olympics did you watch Gymnastics or Boxing we had our asses handed to us. The only sports we dominated were Basketball and Swimming everything else was a mixed bag.

  17. China dominated the olympics.

  18. did you even watch the olympics 2008? The rest of the world is counting gold medals, and china leads by a lot. You must have not been watching. The rest of the world is progressing while the U.S. is basically staying the same. The Usa should have dominated track but jamaicans did.

  19. i dunno what olympics you were watching, but pretty sure China stepped up to the plate and were more dominant then the USA.

  20. did you watch the olympics?

we didnt even win most gold medals

    China did
