I think their chances are great. Obviously you people KNOW NOTHING ABOUT THE MARLINS! They lead the Phillies series this year. Oh yeah,I just remembered something, Ricky Nolasco is their best pitcher and he is 10-5 and then you have Scott Olsen and Josh Johnson who are looking good. I agree they have a chance to win the NL east, Anibal is coming back and our pitching has looked good in the past 2 weeks.This team leads in home runs too. We have seen the marlins do the imaginable in the 2003 season with a young team. Everyone said in April that the Marlins were going to flat line July and guess what? you other questioners who don't know what you're talking about, THE MARLINS ARE 1/2 GAMES OUT OF FIRST PLACE! The Marlins have a great chance of heading into September in the thick of the NL east race and the fighting fish will be ready.

I fear the Marlins, because I'm a Phillies fan that realizes a teams with good hitting and bad pitching like the Marlins and Phillies can still get wins. I do not think the Marlins will make it to the world series. I think a NL Central team will this year. I believe the world series will be the Angels and the Brewers. That is just my hunch.

Sense you are going to go out on a limb and say the marlins will win it all, i say that they beat the royals. J/k. I see them beating the angels because they have real good speed, defense and pitching: all essentials to make a good run in the playoffs ( just ask my white sox in 05). However, Vladamir Guerrero has really struggled in the post season and will be the main reason to their downfall.

So were you one of the 600 or so fans there when they beat the Phillies? The problem with the Marlins winning the NL East is they are playing great baseball right now with all there players hitting there stride and they still can not get into first place. While the Phillies are struggling averaging at least 2 runs less PER game. So if they cant get into first with the struggles they never will be in first for the rest of the season! Tonight with that win over the Mucking Fets the Phillies will win the division!!

Not a chance.  There is no way they win the NL East and that's what it would take to even make the playoffs since the wild card will most definately come from the NL Central.  If they were to somehow pull of a miracle to win the East there is no way they makeit very far in the playoffs with their pitching staff.  Pitching wins championships.
