  1. No, it's hilarious.  We could be 10,000 years into an ice age and the green loony tunes would go: "that doesn't disprove global warming."

  2. How do you mean there is no observable warming? Global warming is very much reality just take a look at temperatures in Africa or Antarctica and you'll know what I'm talking about. For instance the area of Antarctic Peninsula had significant increase in annual average temperature at about 2,5 °C in the past 50 years which is almost three times faster than in the rest of the world.

And in Africa predictions are also very bad: a minimum 2.5°C increase in temperature in Africa by 2030. This will cause many drylands and could even result in dry up of surface water

  3. Simply another small bit of evidence that will be ignored by the enviro-libs who wish to create their version of a utiopian environment no matter the cost.

20 years ago it was global cooling they ranted about, then the ozone..we have much bigger problems to deal with like global deforestation, next generation energy production, nuclear ambitious third-world nations with questionable motives, terrorists, and illegal immigration.

Our mean global temperature fluctuates between ice ages, Mars is also enjoying a global temperature increase. Mankind had zero impact on that...

  4. Turn up the volume a bit....   GLOBAL WARMING IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!

  5. The premise of your question is faulty.  The planet continues to warm.

"A simple mathematical calculation of the temperature change over the latest decade (1998-2007) alone shows a continued warming of 0.1 °C per decade."

It would be nice if we could make global warming magically go away by wishing for it, but wishing doesn't make it so.

  6. Yes it seems that recent forecasts from NASA say that we will have a 20 to 30 year reprieve from warming to allow us to properly prepare for it and deal the knock out blow to excessive consumerism so we can save the planet before the warming begins again. You do understand that humans and their animals are still to blame for this according to NASA but the great advertising agency in the sky has accorded us more time to get our act together.

In other words the campaign was weak on facts and there were to many people who could see through the advertising smoke screen. Then in 20 or 30 years when all of old farts that can smell a scam a mile away are dead they will try again with a fresh crop of suckers.

  7. Global warming is the increase in the average measured temperature of the Earth's near-surface air and oceans since the mid-20th century, and its projected continuation.

Global warming will never be over. As long as people will continually abuse mother nature; catastrophic changes will progressively occur... Tsunami, earthquakes, flash floods, etc... Excess of the regularities determines global warming.

  8. Says who, you?

Uh yeah I think I will listen to NASA, NOAA and the EPA who have better scientists and more logic than you provided in your "question".

  9. But there has been observable warming.

try the earthwire africa feed; everywhere that does not have drought this year seems to have a flood.

  10. Nop it is still happening the rivers keep floding things all over the world so yup it's still happening.

  11. I believe that this "global warming" is a load of c**p.

  12. The Earth Cools and Warms..... in cycles.... this has been going on for millions of years ..... with.... and without.....man.

Many experts are predicting a cooling period in the near future.

Following the cooling period..... you guessed it.... another warming period..... and so on.....

  13. Yes, and I've stated exactly this many times.  There has been no warmer year, recently, than 1998.  Since then the climate has cooled and in the past 15 months rather dramatically.

Global warming is over, but there are those who can't let go.  It's time to start holding people accountable now.

  14. Sadly no.

Climate = 30 year average of weather

The 30 yr temperature trend is still rising.

People could have just as easily made the same mistaken assumption as you about 1901 (followed by 12 cooler years), or 1915 (followed by 18 cooler years), or 1938 (followed by 34 cooler years), or 1981 (followed by 8 cooler years), or 1990 (followed by 7 cooler years).  And in every case, they would have been proven wrong.

You see, it's a long-term slow trend and scientists expect short-term fluctuations.  But the long-term trend hasn't been broken.

  15. Sorry but NASA disagrees with you.

Where do you get your information?  A right wing blog?

  16. I think you have your facts wrong.

Al Gore would be very angry with you right now...

  17. Now it's "climate change" - - - that means any bad weather, they blame it on us.      Rivers flooding - that never happened before... LOL.

By the way everyone please take note of Ken's answer - - - they're now referring to the "30 year trend" - - - -

I TOLD you they'd do this - - - first, leading up to the 2000 election, all we heard was "1998 was the hottest year on record" (the 'record' dating back only about a century).    Then, funny, it never got warmer than 1998 - - - so they started to talk about five year averages.    Then five became ten.....     The further we go from 1998, with 1998 still being the warmest year, the longer the period they consider to be the defining trend.

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

I thought this would be a gradual shift: ten would give way to 15 or 20 as the years passed with 1998 still being the "hottest" year - - but apparently they're giving 15, 20 and 25 a miss and going all the way up to 30 - - - - there ARE only 4 30-year periods in the last 120 years, and we had a cool period from 1940-1970, while before 1940 we were emerging from the Little Ice Age.     In other words, going right to 30 years as the measurement buys them a lot of time.

Bottom line, they realize they have to change the terms of the debate to keep from losing it.      The ball is out of bounds, so they re-draw the boundaries.

They did this with the climate history and now they're doing it with the very terms of the debate.

They realize that they can't win the debate if they don't do this.

  18. Aha! The Radical Environmentalists have noticed this as well! Notice that it is now officially called "climate change", since the Earth is no longer warming... I've said this before, but it seems like they change their agenda whenever new data comes in... hm, interesting...

  19. Heres an article (of many) talking about recent weather satellite data:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/05/02/...

    http://global-warming.accuweather.com/20...

    http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/news/dis...

According to the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) and the Remote Sensing Systems (RSS) satellites it has been cooling. The article explains why NASA however is getting different results. Also, satellite data of the troposphere is the most reliable when it comes to global temperature because man thermometers used by weather stations used to track temp are in cities, and are significantly affected by the "urban heat island" effect.

I think this whole Man-made global warming is a huge hoax and is slowly but surely losing steam. There are a lot of scientists coming out against the dire predictions of doom and gloom being propagated. This next link shows a huge number scientists and organizations around the world that question man-made global warming. If you carefully look through it includes some IPCC scientists, the Indian National Action Plan on Climate Change, etc.

    http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?F...

All of these have links to their individual complete articles.

Some examples (of many) from link:

'Considerable presence' of global warming skeptics exist, science group admits – July 16, 2008 – Australian's The Herald-Sun

Excerpt: India issued its National Action Plan on Climate Change in June 2008 disputing man-made global warming fears and declared the country of one billion people had no intention of stopping its energy growth or cutting back its CO2 emissions. […] The report declared: “No firm link between the documented [climate] changes described below and warming due to anthropogenic climate change has yet been established.”

Canvass of more than 51,000 Canadian scientists in 2008 reveals 68% disagree that global warming science is ‘settled’ – March 6, 2008

Top UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Turns on IPCC. Calls Warming Fears: ‘Worst scientific scandal in the history’ – June 27, 2008 - By Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist who specializes in optical waveguide spectroscopy from the Yokohama National University, also contributed to the 2007 UN IPCC AR4 (fourth assessment report) as an expert reviewer.

New scientific paper shows CO2’s effect on temperature was overstated 500-2000% - Published in Physics and Society journal of the American Physical Society – July 2008

After looking at this, could you really tell me that there are 0 scientists out there that disagree with AGW? Additionally, the American Physics Society has conceded that there is a significant number of scientists that question AGW and that the issue should be open for debate. Also, answer me this. Why doesn't Al Gore hold a public televised debate to prove all the doubters wrong?

  20. As long as the sun rises each and every day , global warming will continue.

  21. the temp is rising slowly atm.

the earth has Milankovitch Cycles around the sun in an orbit that will make it colder, that is why scientist said we should be cooling but we are warming more than the cooling. It is the shape of Earths orbit around the sun the slowely changes that causes the cooling. It is several factors including greenhouse gases that are causing the warming.

  22. WHAT ??? The world isn't ending in the next ten years ??? I can't believe Al Gore and the lunatic Environmental movement would lie to us .......
