Mine was a few years ago when one of my dad's friends gave me an autographed picture of Dale Jr and a gold #8 necklace. What was yours?

I got a Jimmie Johnson jacket for Christmas of 2002.  It is the black, twill kind with all the sponsors on it.  I like it a lot and wear it a lot.  It's cool because it still has the Winston Cup logo on it.  I also like my championship hat from the 2006 season quite a bit.

it wasn't a gift given to me, but i'm assuming it was a gift given to someone else who didn't properly appreciate the saying "it's the thought that counts." it was a "heavy duty" construction site boom-box (similar to the dewalt boom-boxes). but the story behind it is what's interesting. i was driving around east vegas where salvation army and goodwill trucks are never needed - if you want to get rid of a ripped sofa or a broken refrigerator, you just put it on the curb and someone will come along and take it. well, i was driving along and i saw this boom-box sitting at the curb. i stopped and sure enough, it seemed to be in fine shape; but the whole thing had been painted over with primer of some sort. i threw it in the back and kept going.

after i got home, i checked it out. it was nice - great sound, good reception, and an input jack on the back for my mini-disc player. then i noticed a tag hanging off of it. i looked at it and through the paint i could see it was a #24 jeff gordon radio. i had recently been to my first live race and had learned how much jeff gordon was hated first-hand, so i pictured the following...

some nascar fan's girlfriend goes shopping for a gift for her guy, probably a construction worker. she sees the radio, buys it and gives it to him. he can't just throw it away and hurt her feelings, and he doesn't want his friends to see him carrying a jeff gordon radio around. so he paints it over with cheap spray paint, but forgets to take the tag off. he takes it to a job site one day and he and the guys are listening to it. one of them notices the #24 tag and they bug the h**l out of him about being a gordon fan. he gets home that night in a foul mood, drinks one too many budweisers, and kicks both the radio and his girlfriend to the curb. someone else must have beat me to the girlfriend, but i did get the radio.

My still favorite of all my NASCAR stuff is a pair of white gold hoop earring with a #3 dangling in the middle from Dale Sr.'s Hauler at a Martinsville race in 2000.  

I'll always treasure them.  I wear them only on special occassions and also when I go to races sometimes.

Like...under the grandstands?...wait...I said that because I gave my ex-girlfriend a gold #8 necklace for her birthday but she was 29 and that was like 3 years ago! Phew...my heart jumped a second when I read the question.

I would have to say Christmas Ornaments. I have a few Nascar ornaments which is cool.

2nd would be T-shirts. This past B-day I got a 2008 Sprint Cup Tour shirt with all the dates on the back like a concert T which was cool!

The best Nascar gift I got was two tickets, pit passes &garage passes. I enterd a contest on our local TV station that were giving them away and the next thing you know my wife and I are right in the middle of Paradise(TMS) We got the royal treament from Best Buy that had sponsored the give-away. It was great!
