On offense yes.  On defense no.  But they both of the potential to be great.

Oden should be compared to Bill Russel.  Not to Hakeem who was more finesse and not to David Robinson who was soft and overrated (hence no ring until TD came).

Exactly. All Bynum will ever be is a glorified Desagna Diop. A good rebounder and defender who can give you maybe 10- 15 ppg off dunks and putbacks. He will definitely help the Lakers next year in the toughness category, though. But youre right, hes no Oden.

Greg Oden=never played a game in the NBA.

I am not saying that Bynum is better, but I have never seen Oden play in the NBA before.

Because Bynum was a beast before he got hurt......

He was first in the league in FG%, second in dunks (behind Dwight Howard), second in rebounds (behind Dwight Howard), first in blocks.....

Kobe was yelling at Kupchak, BEFORE LAST SEASON.... old story dude....

After this year Kobe was totally sold on Bynum, and Bynum even admitted that Kobe's comments helped motivate him last off season to get better.....

Oden could be the one of the best young centers in the league.... but that is yet to be proven...
