Since when did chick-fil-a start handing out "dipping sauce" for their chicken sandwhich?

I went to chick-fil-a for lunch today and ordered their basic number 1, a chicken sandwich. The guy asked me what kind of "dipping sauce" I wanted and I reinforced that I was getting the sandwich not the nuggets. He then said 99.9% of people want "dipping sauce" for it. As if I was an idiot.

I have never wanted "dipping sauce" for my chicken sandwich and have never been offered it for that before in the seven years I've eaten at chick-fil-a. Is this a common thing and am I an idiot or is he?

Ive noticed this at wendys also.I ordered chicken sandwich and they gave me two containers of ranch?

I know a ton of people dip fries in ranch so they do order a dipping sauce.This might have something to do with it.

I love the honey mustard at chik filet so I always grab as much of it for fries and sandwich as i can get.

But i use to use the mustard at wendys for fries and then the lady said you know it had 110 calories in it?I was like woooooooo.Who knew mustard carried so many calories?

but in all it must be relatively new thing..within past couple months.

In 1908, there was a chick names chick fale. This was her name. because of this, they named a restaraunt after her. So at that time, she told everyone what to do. People started wanting diping sauce with a chicken sandwich.  So they did it. Not a lot of people didt like this, so they stopped coming to it. So they took it off the menu.
