The Manchester City attacker expressed his delight over the starting role in his side’s final game of Group D in Champions League, but was extremely disappointed with the defeat.
Manchester City winger, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Scott-Sinclair-c32675, was disappointed with his side’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Borussia Dortmund in their final Group D match of UEFA Champions League at Signal Iduna Park on Tuesday, December 4.
The 23-year-old admitted that everyone headed into the game with the motive to claim victory despite knowing that a win will only earn them Europa League participation.
“All the players have a winning mentality. Every game we play we want to win”, Sinclair was quoted as saying to the club’s official website.
The former Swansea City forward, who made his first appearance in the Europe’s most prestigious club competition while wearing the Citizens colours on Tuesday, went on to admit that earning a starting role was extremely pleasing.
“It was great that I started the game and to get my experience in the Champions League but obviously I'm disappointed that we lost the game” Sinclair added.
The talented attacker has urged his teammates to put behind their abysmal showings in the European competition, and shift their focus on defending the English Premier League title.
“Now we must move on and hopefully make sure we do better in the Premier League”, Sinclair added.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 winger, who arrived at Etihad Stadium earlier this year in the summer transfer window, has failed to cement his place in the Citizens playing XI, representing the English champions in only four league games.
And the 23-year-old has admitted that he must remain patient to become a regular in a star studded line-up.
“There has always got to be patience. Playing in a great side, there has got to be patience for me. I'm taking every training session step by step and hopefully, when I do get the chances to play, I've got to go out there and show what I can do. I knew when
I came to City that there would be a patient waiting game for m yself”, Sinclair concluded.
The technically gifted winger, who has represented http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Junior-c20060 level, has a contract at Etihad Stadium that runs until the summer of 2016.
