Sindri Jakobsson impresses in Women’s 200m butterfly: Day Four

Sindri Jakobsson of BS/Delfana impressed the arena in the Women’s 200m butterfly final, by winning the gold medal of the event on day four of the 2011 Norway Long Course Championships.
The Norwegian Championship is a four-day national swimming meet, providing a chance to the local swimmers who seek to prepare themselves for the upcoming battle of the 2011 World Championships, this month.
Jakobsson won the gold medal of the event in a comfortable manner, as she was almost four seconds away from the second position holder. She won the title of the event, by producing a fantastic time of 2 minutes and 03.29 seconds. She was followed by Alexander
Broberg Skeltved of Bergens SC, who stayed 4.62 seconds away and touched the finishing wall for silver medal with a timing of 2 minutes and 07.91 seconds. They were followed by Jorgen Mollerop of Bergens SC, who was almost one second behind Skeltved and posted
a third fastest time of 2 minutes and 08.69 seconds.
Sebastian Stordal of BS/Delfana stayed 0.54 seconds behind the bronze medallist and submitted a fourth fastest time of 2 minutes and 09.23 seconds. The 19-year-old Stordal was almost two seconds ahead from her closest competitor, Sindre Eilertsen of Lambertseter
SK, who followed her on the finishing wall as the fifth fastest swimmer, by finishing her race in a time of 2 minutes and 11.91 seconds.
Moments later, Fredrik K Hegdal of Stavanger SC appeared on the finishing wall and proved her eligibility for the sixth best position, by posting a time of 2 minutes and 12.47 seconds. Morten Wee Hollund of Karmory SK was the seventh fastest swimmer of
the meet, as she concluded her swim in a second last fastest time of 2 minutes and 15.03 seconds. She was followed by Jakob Bernstein of Bærumsvømmerne, who ended her swim in a time of 2 minutes and 15.95 seconds.
The championship conducted all the scheduled sessions, while the swimmers entertained the crowd with their stunning efforts to secure a place on the podium.
